Project Description

Project Brief: To upgrade the existing facility to incorporate the latest surgical equipment. Working with the University and the German manufacturer of the surgical equipment, Karl Storzz we endeavoured to bring together and marry all the electrical services needed for the install. The area aimed to bring the highest and best medical facility to gain the highest grade of student. The area itself integrated the newest technologies for a classroom area. The AV installation was married with the lighting and surgical mounted cameras to enable total control from various stations around the area. this was to give visiting surgeons touch control of the environment.

Electrical Installation Brief: Working with the consultants RPS we stripped out the entire surgical area and installed a full new containment system throughout. New lighting, power fire alarms including vesda systems and data were installed. This incorporated controls for medical gases which span up to the cathedral plant room above The AV and medical install was done in conjunction with the German manufacturers on site. All containment, accessory outlets and data cabling had to coordinated to fall in line with the German manufacturer’s parameters and specifications. Specialist access and authority access was installed on the existing door system. Also high grade CCTV cameras were installed with internal controls only due to the nature of the facility.
